Care & Share Pickleball Tournament & Food Drive

WWVAR's Care & Share Food Drive has been a beloved community tradition for nearly 40 years. We’ve listened to your feedback and made exciting new updates to improve the way we support our community! That's right, we're changing things up and it's a really big dill! 

We will still have the BMAC barrels out at local stores throughout October to accept your food donations, and our volunteers will be onsite on the weekends to answer any questions and take food or monetary donations, just look for the barrels and QR code! 

We're kicking-off this year's Food Drive by hosting a Pickleball Tournament with all proceeds going towards BMAC to assist with hunger insecurity among Walla Walla residents. The tournament will take place on Sunday, September 21 along side a vendor fair. 

About the Big Dill Pickleball Tournament

• Teams will consist of 2 people aged 18 years or older.
• You will register as a team and will enter both players names, emails, t-shirt sizes, and DUPR rating (if known) (single players email the office and we will match you up with someone).
• Tournament will be Round Robin Pool Play with Playoffs. 
• Total cost is $150 per team, which includes: Registration fee, drink tickets, snacks/water, 2 sliders (catered by WW Country Club), T-shirt, and a goody bag! 
• The winning team will receive a new grill, accessories, cooler, pickleball gear, 2 camp chairs, and lessons with Pickleball Pro, Alison Bruggeman. 
• Spectators are welcome to come watch the action and explore the vendor booths! 
• We will have raffle tickets, t-shirts, snacks and beverages available for purchase.

About the Food Drive

• You will see the BMAC food barrels around at your local grocery stores all throughout the month of October. 
• You can leave off non-perishable food items or scan the QR code to make a monetary contribution.
• WWVAR volunteers will be onsite at the stores on the weekends in October to answer any questions or assist you.
